Jaen is a beautiful province of Andalucia, although one of the least known. As a whole the province of Jaen has only 628,000 inhabitants, is one of the least populated and with an area of 13,498 km2.
The reason it has been for years the province less visited by tourists, is the poor state of roads and is poor communication. But since highways were opened and roads fixed are coming more and more visitors, both Spanish and foreign, who are interested in the attractions of this province. One of the largest rivers in Spain, the Guadalquivir, crosses the land of Jaén adding another attraction to these fertile lands.
The mountain ranges of Sierra de Cazorla and Sierra del Segura are visited by tourists from around the world, attracted by its nature parks, which are full of beauty, with its fauna and flora so characteristic of this area. The province has 4 major National Parks and Reserves.
